October 6th, 2025| EEAC meeting

Guests

  • Terry Inman: 19 homes being built on Riverside drive, looking for support to change variance so homes can be set further back on the street
    • City variance keeps homes in the area closer to the street to keep with historical trends
    • All neighbors can go to the variance meeting on the second week of November if opposed
    • All homes will be tax abated
    • Motion for support passed with one neh recorded
  • Pro Seniors:
    • Providing support for seniors with medical, Medicare, and Medicaid support and support with scammers/fraud attempts
    • Accepting volunteers
    • Call 513-345-4160 for assistance

Police Report, Officer Wendy Martin

  • Theft from auto: 1
  • Auto theft: 1
  • Personal/Other theft: 3
  • Storage unit theft
    • Reminder: take pictures of all VIN or serial numbers on your equipment so the police can report the items stolen (can’t be reported if the VIN or serial numbers are unknown) - if taken to a pawn shop, they can’t accept what has been reported stolen

School Report, Karen Hordinski, School Resource Coordinator

  • Thank you Kathy and Steve for help in writing large garden grant request
  • Received small grant for garden for students, interested in a community garden
  • 4 new clubs have started: photography, abracadoodle, drawing and painting, video game design
  • Upcoming events: 6th graders seeing musical at the Aronoff, Ohio virtual conference for gifted and talented students
  • Homecoming on October 16th
  • Looking for geometry tutors, please reach out to Karen with interest
  • “Pantry Items” in need: deodorant, socks (adult size socks is most in need), shampoo & condition, toothpaste

LeBlond Report, Theresa Miller

  • Delayed opening for the Queen Bee: 12 -3
  • Queen Bee (10/11) road closers: Riverside Drive going east will be closed till 11:30

NSP Report, Regina Moss

  • NSP plans will be finalized by the middle of November
  • Few funds still remaining but will be allocated by the time the report is submitted

City Liaison, Jane Sites

  • Airport meeting next week, will share any updates

Garden Committee

  • Saturday October 18th, final garden celebration from 3-5pm

Riverside Drive Traffic Safety Committee

  • Drafted formal resolution to the city for support of active enforcement of traffic laws within the East End
    • Will amend the motion to include portions of Columbia Pkwy that are included in East End
    • Motion passed, with 2 votes of neh’s

President Report

  • October 18th is international friendship will be celebrating at Friendship Park
  • TIF Home Improvement Program, no update
  • Nominating Committee: Joe, Tayna, Steve: motion approved unanimously

New Business:

  • Truck or Treat: Circuit Cafe would like to host a “Truck or Treat” for neighborhood
  • Railroad money: have not received any update on the funds from the sale 
  • Don Driehaus will be at Streetside Brewery on October 8th for a meet and greet
