Police Report, Officer Wendy Martin

  • Keep valuables out of your car
  • Low crime stats the past month: one burglary and two personal thefts

LeBlond Report, Teresa Miller

  • First day of pool opening!
  • LeBlond Center Summer Hours: M-F 10 -7, closed S/S
  • LeBlond Pool Hours: M-F 12 - 6pm
    • Cost for daily passes:
      • Youth (0-17): $2 
      • Adults (18-59): $6
      • Senior (60+): $4
  • 2025 Season/Annual Membership Cost:
    • Youth (0-17): $30
    • Adults (18-59): $45
    • Senior (60+): $30
    • Family (3-6 Members): $120

School Report, Karen Hordinski - Spencer and Riverview East Resource Coordinator

  • School is out for summer!
  • Hosted Summer Festival - over 400 people attended
  • Participating in the Columbia Tusculum festival
  • Looking to participate in East End Day
  • Summer school is in swing at SCPA (no summer school at Riverview)
  • Looking for partners to donate items like deodorant, socks, hair products (shampoo, conditioner, gels, etc.) clothing (sweatshirts, sweatpants, etc sizes YM - AXL)
  • Looking for partners who are interested in volunteering at the school, contact Karen with any interest

Treasurer Report, Kathy Schwab

  • No report

NSP Report, Regina Moss

  • No report

East End Business District:

  • Steve attended the 3East May meeting
  • Payment for Spicer Park is pending
  • Commitment of funds for East End Day

Garden Committee:

  • Beds available in Strader garden

City Liaison, Jane Sites

  • Approved to open a hotel and restaurant (Sky Galley) at Lunken
  • New sidewalk will go in connecting Lunken to Streetside Brewery
  • Event on June 6th for WWII D Day
  • Similar event will take place on Labor Day
  • Talk of expanding hangers but no confirmation which would take from the 200 acres of recreational area (I.e. golf course and park) please be vocal with city council if you are against this plan

President Report: 

  • Communications
    • Website update
  • Duke wrapping up this phase of the project
  • Spicer Park - working on signage
  • TIF Home Improvement Program
  • Columbia Tusculum Street Festival June 21st 3 - 10pm
  • East End Day is the same day.

New Business:

  • Schmidt Field Tree Plan - 70 trees within Schmidt Field (boat ramp east, not impact views, some decorative trees may go along Babb Alley) 
    • Motion to Approve the tree plan was made by Joe and Seconded by Doug – The Plan passed unanimously and ready to submit to City of Cincinnati
  • Speed Bumps - looking for signatures to support residents looking for speed limit to be reduced, speed bumps to be removed to keep accidents down in front of LeBlond - signatures will be a part of a report residents are submitting. There will be signature sheets available at the next EEAC meeting.
