Police Report, Officer Wendy Martin

  • Met with Circuit Cafe, meeting went well and no recent complaints
  • No part 1 violent crimes
  • 5 Part 1 Property crimes, all

LeBlond Report, Theresa Miller

  • LeBlond Center Summer Hours: M-F 10 -7, closed S/S
  • LeBlond Pool Hours: M-F 12 - 6pm
  • Cost for daily passes:
    • Youth (0-17): $2
    • Adults (18-59): $6
    • Senior (60+): $4
  • 2025 Season/Annual Membership Cost:

    • Youth (0-17): $30
    • Adults (18-59): $45
    • Senior (60+): $30
    • Family (3-6 Members): $120

School Report, Spencer Resource Coordinator, Mt. Washington School Resource Coordinator, Riverview Resource Coordinator 

Karen Hordinski - Spencer Resource Coordinator

  • Mona Beckford is retiring, Karen will be the resource coordinator for both schools
  • End of School is near, prom happened with both schools, students are preparing for end of year exams
  • Looking for school trip fundraising opportunities - reach out to Karen with any ideas
  • Graduation is this week for Riverview!

NSP Report, Regina Moss

  • Received $10k in 2025 grant

East End Business District

  • No report

Garden Committee

  • This spring is shaping up to be the best year ever with community participation.
  • In the coming meetings will be sharing beautification plans

City Liaison, Jane Sites

  • Labor Day and June 6th - will have WW2 planes at Lunken Airport
  • Can rent Lunken for an event for $100/day
  • Custom Facility is going in at Lunken - this will allow for more airlines
  • Approved for 52 room hotel, with a restaurant, will be built by the same group who built Hotel Covington
  • Push to build more hangers, would take from the 200 acres of recreational area (I.e. golf course and park) please be vocal with city council if you are against this plan
  • Lunken Airport will be 100 this year

Duke Energy

  • Completed remediation portion of the project with only a few minor projects left
  • Main Entrance will need to be fixed, estimate this will take 4-6 weeks
  • Two office trailers will remain on site to monitor groundwater
  • Duke will maintain ownership of the site between Corbin and Gotham
  • Nothing will go on the site, it will remain an open space with the sod field
  • Black screen fence will be taken down along riverside
  • Black screen fences can stay up or be taken down along Corbin St.
  • Work will begin after 7am

President Report

  • Communications - We have a new consultant for website updates and other communications – this should help us with newsletters, etc.
  • The primary election day is tomorrow, May 6 - I encourage you to vote
  • The April EEAC meeting was at Pendleton - many are in support of trying that again
  • Spicer Park - We are still planning a grand opening party
  • Schmidt Field Tree Planting Plan is being refined and will be presented at the June EEAC meeting
  • TIF Home Improvement Program is being reviewed by the City’s Law Department
  • Thank those who picked up supplies for the KCB cleanup
  • Thank you to Tim Hinde and the other volunteers who staffed the EEAC Flying Pig support station
  • Hoping everyone is recovering from flood
